A Verse by Rudolf Steiner

Create for yourself a new indomitable perception of faithfulness.
What is usually called faithfulness passes so quickly.
Let this be your faithfulness:
You will experience moments....fleeting moments....with the other person.
The human being will appear to you then as if filled,
Irradiated with the archetype of his spirit.
And then there may be ....indeed will be....other moments, long periods of time,
When human beings are darkened.
But you will learn to say to yourself at such times
"The spirit makes me strong. I remember the archetype. I saw it once.
No illusion, no deception shall rob me of it."
Always struggle for the image you saw.
This struggle is faithfulness.
Striving thus for faithfulness, we shall be close to one another,
As if endowed with the protective power of angels.

  1. You all look like you are having such fun! I am a Waldorf class teacher in the US (5th grade this year) with a graduating Waldorf-lifer (Emelie) who is looking to visit an Arabic-speaking country this spring. Ideally she'd like to volunteer at a Waldorf school while improving her Arabic and learning about Arab culture. This is proving to be a difficult thing to arrange! She is lovely and talented and comes with great references! She's worked on a farm, for a marine service, as a nanny, as a reading tutor, as a furniture mover, and as a house cleaner/gardener. Do you have any ideas for her? Thanks in advance for any advice! Best, Jennifer Chace, Merriconeag Waldorf School, Freeport, Maine, USA
